A Quick Guide to Live Virtual Classroom Training
In 2020, along with most other training providers, we switched to a “virtual” training environment by necessity.
It has been so popular and successful with our Train the Trainer students that we have chosen to continue running our courses in a live virtual classroom format.
We have outlined some of the main features and benefits of this training format below, along with information about how you can easily connect with our online live training courses.

What is Live Virtual Classroom Training?
Live virtual training is very similar to attending an in-person classroom-based train the trainer course.
You will be connected with your trainer and other delegates in real time via our virtual training platform.
You can ask and answer questions, take part in group discussions and exercises, and view slides and handouts as you would in a real classroom.
The only real difference is that you’re not all in the same physical space. The trainer and each participant log in from wherever they are based.
Benefits of Live Virtual Classroom Training
Over the past few years, we have found many benefits to this style of training. Below, we have listed our top 3, based on comments and feedback we have received from past students:
-
No travel time or costs
This was definitely a huge benefit for everyone.
Not only did it save people from sitting in traffic coming to and from training, it also opened up Train the Trainer courses to those who lived far from our in-person classroom courses.
-
Easier to keep on top of work
Our courses run from 9.30am until 5.00pm each day.
Being able to connect from anywhere means that people have time to check in with work emails and respond to anything pressing before training begins.
Participants are finding that this style of training means they are “away from the office” for less time.
-
Almost identical to an in-person experience
We have noted that students get comfortable with live virtual training very quickly.
After the initial welcome from their trainer, who familiarises everyone with the live virtual classroom format, they often forget they are not in the same physical space as everyone else in the class.
Discussions, breakout rooms, and group exercises play a big part in putting people at ease and keeping everyone engaged with and contributing to the sessions.
What You Need to Join
Luckily, this style of training doesn’t require advanced or high tech equipment. Almost every smartphone, computer, and tablet has the following capabilities:
- A steady internet connection. (a capacity of c. +5Mps is recommended, but this is standard for most home internet providers.)
- A web camera, microphone, and speakers.
Easy to Use
If the idea of connecting virtually feels out of your comfort zone, don’t worry. Our virtual training platform is user-friendly and we will give you step-by-step guidance on getting connected.
